Our People

A project specific Board is established by African Parks with representation by all the different partner institutions. The Board is directly accountable to Government for the proper management of the park.

The management team typically consists of a Park Manager, a Field Operations Manager, a Financial Controller, a Technical Manager and a Community Manager. The Park Management Unit is managed and supervised by African Parks which also provides specialist skills and support when required.

Volunteers make up a small but critical component of our work force and have been responsible for many of our important projects throughout the parks that we manage. The need for volunteers is identified by the respective Park Managers, and African Parks then attempts to find a suitable candidate.
