Accommodation

On May 28th 2010 the Garamba Guest Lodge was inaugurated by the ICCN administrator, accompanied by the representative of the Congolese Ministry of Environment, seven country ambassadors and other officials. Having received the congratulations and encouragement from this important delegation, Garamba is now eager to welcome visitors who would like to discover the richness and diversity of the park.

Ten double bungalows are located 1km from Nagero Station. The bungalows are fully equipped and tastefully decorated. A beautiful restaurant, situated adjacent to the Dungu River, is an excellent stop to enjoy a good meal and a cold beer upon one's return from a game drive. Guests can relax on comfortable sofas, drink in hand, on the open terrace and gaze out at the families of hippo congregating in the river below.
