He began studying hummingbird-plant interactions then he moved to Spain where he specialised in biodiversity management at Barcelona University. This is his first time in Africa. He has come to Garamba National Park to conduct a bird ringing project and also to assess passerine bird population density in the main habitats of the park. Santiago is also going to train an ornithology guide and to make an educational and awareness programme for children. He is very excited to spend 3 months in Garamba National Park, which will be a new experience for him.

Mr Viçent Muñoz | Volunteer - Industrial Engineer

Viçent Muñoz has a degree in Industrial Engineering - specialising in Electricity - with experience in maintenance of high and low voltage. He came to Garamba to review and set up the electricity installation at the Garamba Lodge and the Main Station. Garamba is well known for its incredible storm and lightning, which causes a lot of electrical damage. With the help of Vinçent, we hope to avoid future electrical losses.
