Tracking of five elephants in Garamba |

What happened to the five elephants living in Garamba and wearing a satellite collar?
We found out a little bit more about the way Bomoi, Mama Monene, Moke, Bondeko and Kimia live in our Park. Their names are in Lingala (one of the Congolese languages) and the meaning in English are: Life, Matriarche, Small, Friend and Quiet.
Having followed their movements for 7 months now, we noticed that Bomoi, on his way to reach the Azande Reserve, sometimes met Mama Monene.
Moke, Bondeko and Kimia prefer to move around the Dungu River and they like each others company.
By following these 5 elephants the coming 6 months, we hope that they will show us many new things about their behaviour and their habitat so we can learn to understand these animals even better.
