The National Park is open to tourist throughout the year even during the rainy season. The park is open year around but during the months of August to October one can periodically expect heavy water on the roads due to heavy rain.

Water is one of nature’s most vital resources to all life on earth. To satisfy the need of thirst animals periodically assemble near different seasonal or permanent water sources in the Park. Many visitors observe animals by water sources where instinctively each animal comes to drink at roughly fixed time intervals, without conflict of other species except when it is a predator.

From Cotonou, meet at Pendjari The Pendjari National Park is 630 kilometers from Cotonou (Benin, 8 hours driving), 450 kilometers from Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso, 5 hours driving) and 500 kilometers from Niamey (Niger, 6 hours driving).
