Campsites

Waka Waka Campsite

Located on the shores of the gorgeous Lake Waka Waka, this camp is a convenient stopover on the way from Kasanka to Banqweulu Wetlands. Run by the local community, the camp is overseen by a caretaker should you need assistance.

Nkondo Tented Camp

Situated in the miombo woodlands in close proximity to park headquarters, this camp offers six classic en-suite tents on a bed and breakfast basis. It is an excellent base from which to explore the area and it is possible to access woodands and wetland, even possibly a day trip to Kasanka. These excursions include village walks, birding, general wildlife viewing and seeking out the elusive shoebill. They are all day activities when based at this simple, but very homey, camp.

Nsobe Campsite

Located along the Chimbwe woodland on the edge of the swamps, Nsobe is in the heart of the wetlands and offers six campsites and is the absolute best spot to enjoy birding, walks and the search for the elusive shoebill. It is possible to have herds of black lechwe just outside your tent each day. Camp open +/- May to November only, water-level dependent.
