Davy is a dedicated conservationist with a strong academic background, holding a PhD from Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, University of Liège, Belgium. His research focused on the monitoring and conservation of terrestrial mammals in the tropical forests of Central Africa. After post-doctoral research at CIRAD in Montpellier, France, where he actively contributed to the Sustainable Wildlife Management project in Gabon, Davy joined the African Parks team in December 2023 to take on the role of Funding and Reporting Manager for Garamba National Park. In this role he will oversee the monitoring and evaluation department, ensure effective communication and reporting to institutional partners and donors, and coordinate the preparation of new grant proposals.
